"Successful Conclusion of Zhejiang Folklore Exhibition in Denmark: A Moment in Jiangnan Goes Global!"

The overseas exhibition titled "Moment in Jiangnan: Zhejiang Folklore Meets Andersen's Fairy Tales" took place from August 22 to 24. This event was hosted by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the China Cultural Center in Copenhagen. The exhibition was successfully concluded at Odense City Hall in Denmark and received support from the 10th H.C Andersen Festivals.
The exhibition focused on presenting two significant items of Zhejiang folklore's national intangible cultural heritage: "The Legend of the White Snake" and "The Legend of the Butterfly Lovers." These were showcased through opera performances, crafts displays, and interactive programs. The exhibition attracted enthusiastic responses from both local visitors and artists, who expressed keen interest in the traditional handicrafts and interactive experiences related to Zhejiang's intangible cultural heritage.
Additionally, an online exhibition titled "Moment of Dream in Jiangnan: Beautiful Folk Life" showcased Zhejiang folklore through four representative stories: "The Legend of the White Snake," "The Legend of the Butterfly Lovers," "The Legend of Goujian," and "The Legend of the Horse-Headed Lady." This online exhibition featured various forms such as opera, handicrafts, skills, music, film, and television adaptations. The exhibition has garnered over 100,000 internet hits so far.
